2018 Leave No Trace Master Educator Course

Event Details

The BSA Leave No Trace Master Educator Course provides a 5 day, 5 night experiential learning opportunity for registered Scouters aged 18 years and older. This is a non-hike experience. Attendance and participation are required for the length of the course. This valuable training is recognized throughout the world by the outdoors industry, land management agencies, and the outdoor recreation community. Master Educators can train others in Leave No Trace skills as well as facilitate Leave No Trace Trainer courses and awareness workshops. For more info see flyer (Under "Attachments" →).

What You Need to Bring:

Participants should have basic camping skills, you are required to bring your own camping and personal gear, including a mess kit. You will be required to teach for 20 minutes on a pre-assigned Leave No Trace topic and will need to bring your own teaching/exercise materials. You are required to bring the BSA medical form Parts A, B, and C (Under "Attachments" →).

*Your fee covers all meals, course materials and a one-year membership with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. Last day to register is October 9th, 2018. Accommodations will be made for those with special needs, please let us know of any food allergies you may have or accommodations you need when you register.
