Get ready, Scouts! On January 19th from 8:00AM - 3:00PM, we'll be heading out to the CEMEX quarry for a day of adventure! Cemex is hosting Geology and Mining in Society Merit Badge Class. 

All Scouts will meet us at the parking of  Applebee's is located at 20090 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville. The bus departs at 8:30 am sharp, so don't be late! Personal vehicles aren't allowed on quarry property, so that is the reason we meet at Applebees.  The scouts will be using a charter bus provided by CEMEX.

Parents or Guardians MUST drop off your Scout and sign paperwork before they board the bus.  The forms are attached. We do not allow more than 8 adults to attend this trip.  We want to make sure the bus is filled more with Scouts than Adults, but still adhering to Safeguarding Youth Guidelines. EVERYONE MUST WEAR CLOSED-TOED SHOES AND PANTS!!!!

Once we arrive, Cemex will provide lunches for all. Details on lunch will be closer to the event.  If you have dietary restrictions you will need to bring your own lunch. And don't forget to pack your essential scout bag, paper and clipboard, pen or pencil, water bottle, and cell phone (we'll be using Kahoot Platform).

Lastly, to make things run smoother than butter, please bring completed waivers for each Scout and adult. Let's make it a day to remember!
