Withlacoochee Aiming for the Arrow

Aiming for the Arrow
Caveman: Building Skills for the Trail Ahead!
Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts are invited to join the Withlacoochee District for Aiming for the Arrow – Caveman: Building Skills for the Trail Ahead!
This exciting outdoor adventure is designed exclusively for Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts as they prepare for the transition into Scouts BSA. Throughout the day, Scouts will travel back in time to the "Caveman" era, where they'll discover that even the earliest adventurers needed teamwork, problem-solving, and outdoor skills to survive.
Scouts will be organized into patrols and experience the patrol method, giving them a taste of how Scouts BSA operates. Working together as a team, they'll rotate through hands-on activities that build confidence, leadership, and practical outdoor knowledge.
Activities may include:
First aid and emergency response
Outdoor camping and survival skills
Fire safety and outdoor cooking demonstrations
Knots and lashings
Team-building challenges
American Heritage activities
Scout skills that support advancement in the Webelos and Arrow of Light ranks
By the end of the event, Scouts will have strengthened their outdoor abilities, gained a better understanding of Scouting traditions, and developed the teamwork and leadership skills that will help them succeed in Scouts BSA.
Grab your tribe, sharpen your skills, and join us for a prehistoric adventure where today's Cub Scouts become tomorrow's Scouts BSA leaders!

Dietary Restrictions
The Greater Tampa Bay Area Council recognizes that there are many potential dietary restrictions as well as common diets (e.g., low-calorie and low-carbohydrate) and common food allergies (e.g., to gluten, citrus fruit, dairy, eggs, fish, nuts/ peanuts, and shellfish). Individuals will need to consider this and avoid such items in their choices in the dining hall. In addition, remember that the Food Team cannot feasibly plan for all specific dietary needs of all persons attending the event. Therefore, all special dietary needs must be indicated at the time of registration. Depending upon the special food requirements they may be asked to make their own arrangements to meet those needs by bringing their own food — just as they would bring their own medications. Any dietary requests made within 2 weeks of the event will not be able to be honored.
