National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) - CST16-85-26

National Youth Leadership Training (N.Y.L.T.) is a week-long transformational course that models the ideal unit. Each day of the course is a week in the life of a unit.
This youth led course will teach youth leadership lessons and skills of leadership covering 14 core modules, which include Communicating; Finding Your Vision; Setting Your Goals; Planning; Developing Your Team; Leading Yourself; Servant Leadership; Solving Problems; the Stop, Start, Continue assessment tool; Scouting EDGE; Ethics and Values in Decision Making; Diversity and Valuing People; Resolving Conflicts; Embracing and Leading Change; and Resilience
Participants Must:
* Be registered in Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts & Venturers who are 13 years old, but not yet 21
* Be First Class Scout (or equilavent)
* Be recommended/approved by Scoutmaster or Advisor
* Be willing to behave in accordance with the Scout Oath and Law at N.Y.L.T.
* Be prepared mentally, emotionally and physically to handle a week of N.Y.L.T.
* Be in attendance the entire course
Participants Should:
* Want to attend
* Have taken part in at least One week of resident scout camp
* Have good basic camping and outdoor skills
* Currently serving in a troop/crew position of responsibility
