Wilderness Survival Fall Camporee

When:October 8th-10th

Where: Florida Elks Youth Camp 24175 SE Hwy 450 Umatilla, FL 32784

Need to Know:  Check In starts at 4pm Friday, October 8th Free Event with registration Join Troop 250 and Troop 4250 for a weekend in the wild! This weekend will be based on the Wilderness Survival Merit Badge. Test your skills at fire building, signaling and rescue methods, first aid, cooking, knot tying and shelter building. Brush up on your skills now to be prepared!! Leader guide and suggested packing list will be available after the September Roundtable.
Does YOUR troop have what it takes to survive??? Chili cook-off competition with secret ingredients!!!! Ingredients will be distributed on Saturday morning and entries will be due Saturday night by 6pm. ***Overnight shelter requirement will be limited to Scouts that are First class and above. Scouts that have not reached First Class rank will have the opportunity to complete this requirement in their campsite at their Scoutmaster’s discretion.***

COVID-19 Each unit is responsible for providing their own supplies to safeguard their Scouts and Leaders. (Disinfecting wipes, masks, hand sanitizer, etc.) The common items used at each event will be sanitized between groups. Hand sanitizer will be available at each event. Masks will be required in areas where social distancing cannot be maintained. Temperature checks will be performed during check-in.
