DETAILS:
Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is the assessment of and treatment given to an ill or injured person in a remote environment where definitive care by a physician and/or rapid transport is not readily available. Participants will learn how to assess, treat, and (when possible) contain emergencies within the scope of their training. Youth and adult Scout leaders age 14 and over are invited to participate and earn their certification. This course is a hybrid training, which means you will do all prerequisites online before arriving. The online course work amounts to approximately 8-10 hours, plus all participants must also have a current/valid CPR/AED certification card or certificate that they must bring with them to become Wilderness First Aid Trained (no CPR will be offered Oct 20th). Registration closes on September 27, 2024, and all registered at this time will receive an email explaining their online course work to be completed (by October 1st), and special link to activate their training which must be completed prior to arrival on October 20th.
PRE-REQUISITES:
- Online Wilderness First Aid Program Certificate (link to course sent after Oct. 1st)
- Valid CPR/AED Certification
(* Both must be brought on the course date to camp in order to satisfactory complete necessary requirements.)

COST:
- $85.00 (fee covers course cost, WFA course material, and all needed supplies and day camp costs)
