Timuqua District Fall Camp O Ree

Ready... Set... Advance!
This isn't about who can run the fastest; it's about crossing the finish line on your Scouting journey!
Join us for an action-packed weekend designed to help every Scout take the next step toward their goals. Whether you're wrapping up merit badges, earning your first ones, or competing to become Camp-O-Ree Champion, there's something for everyone.
* Saturday Morning
Merit Badge Advancement
The morning will focus on helping Scouts complete open merit badge partials.
To make this happen, we'll be taking partial merit badge requests from units that register by August 31.
Our goal is to recruit qualified counselors based on the needs of registered Scouts.
Please remember: These sessions are for completing existing partials only.
Once we've gathered requests and secured counselors, we'll email the available merit badge offerings to the email addresses provided during registration.
*If you want to receive that information, be sure to include your email address when you register!
Don't have any open partials? We've got you covered! We'll also be offering 2–3 full merit badge opportunities, plus a First-Year Scout Program designed to help newer Scouts build foundational skills and jump-start their advancement and Life to Eagle class opportunities to help those almost ready to cross that finish line.
* Saturday Afternoon
Race for the Championship
Once the advancement work is done, it's time to put your patrol to the test!
Patrols will battle through exciting challenges that showcase teamwork, leadership, Scout skills, and problem-solving as they compete for the coveted title of Camp-O-Ree Champion!
Championship points will come from:
Afternoon challenge events
Campsite inspections
Cooking competition
And more!
Every event is another chance to gain points, show your Scout spirit, and prove your patrol has what it takes to cross the finish line on top.
* Saturday Night
The Pit Stop Cracker Barrel
After a full day on the track to advancement, it's time to pull into the pits!
Join leaders, volunteers, and fellow Scouters for our District-Wide Cracker Barrel, a chance to relax, refuel, share stories from the day's adventures, and enjoy some great fellowship before the final push to the finish line.
To help make this event a success, we'll be asking each registered unit to contribute a few items. Once your unit registers, we'll send a list of the items we're looking for. Every contribution helps keep the snacks coming and the Scouting spirit rolling!
So gather your patrol, polish those Scout skills, and get ready for an unforgettable weekend of advancement, adventure, friendly competition, and memories that will last long after the finish line.
The finish line is waiting... are you ready to cross it?
* Blue Cards Required
Please remember to bring blank Blue Cards for each merit badge your Scouts plan to work on. Due to the large number of participants and the variety of requirements that will be completed and signed off throughout the day, Blue Cards are required, even if your troop typically uses a different method of tracking advancement.
Internet access and connectivity to individual Scout records cannot be guaranteed at the event, so Blue Cards will serve as the official record of completed requirements.
Each Scout should also bring a written list of the specific requirements they still need to complete for each merit badge. This list should remain with the Scout as they meet with counselors. Scouts should be prepared to discuss and demonstrate the remaining requirements they are working on, allowing counselors to efficiently verify and sign off completed work.
