Seminole District Baloo Training

Event Details

BALOO stands for Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation. It’s the introductory training Cub Scout leaders should complete before taking Cub Scouts on an overnight camping trip.

Each Pack is required to have no less than two BALOO trained leaders present at each overnight activity. Participants will be learning basic outdoor, camping, and cooking, program, and knife safety skills to name a few.

This training is a great way to meet and work with other scouting adults that want the scouting experience for our youth to be the best it can be. This course is meant to give you a hands on Cub Scout experience. This is open to all adults, parents or anyone interested in learning more about Cub Scout camping.

The course is done on an overnight campout and will be conducted outdoors so please dress appropriately and plan for the weather.

Included with the training:
Saturday Lunch, Dinner,
Sunday:Breakfast.
Registrants will need to provide their own camping gear.

Important note: There is an online Prerequisite for this training that you can find on myscouting.org: "BALOO Prerequisite Training v2"
