Seminole District BSA AOL Transition Weekend

Event Overview: The Seminole District BSA is thrilled to invite all Arrow of Light (AOL) Cub Scouts who are preparing to cross over into ScoutsBSA Troops to join us for an exciting AOL Transition Weekend! This annual gathering offers a fantastic opportunity for AOL Scouts to experience the camaraderie and adventure of Scouting, all while preparing for their transition to a ScoutsBSA Troop.

Arrival: Friday, October 18th, at 4:00 PM

Departure: Sunday, October 20th, at 12:00 PM

Location: Moss Park, 12901 Moss Park Road, Orlando, FL 32832

Cost: Free

Who Can Attend: This event is open to all AOL Cub Scouts who are preparing to cross over to ScoutsBSA Troops. Each AOL Scout must be accompanied by 2-deep leadership from their pack or by their parent or guardian.

What to Bring:

• Camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, etc.)
• Appropriate clothing for weather conditions
• Personal Food and Cooking gear( Can be provided by the Pack if desired).
• Personal water bottle
• Flashlight or headlamp
• Scout Handbook (if available)
• Any personal medication or health supplies
• BSA Annual health forms part A, B1, B2
• A sense of adventure and enthusiasm!

Activities: Participants will enjoy a range of activities designed to introduce them to the exciting world of ScoutsBSA, including:

Outdoor Skills Workshops: Learn essential skills for camping, hiking, and more.

Team-Building Challenges: Engage in fun, interactive activities that emphasize teamwork and leadership.

Scoutcraft Stations: Practice skills such as knot-tying, fire-building, and navigation.

Evening Campfire: Share stories and songs around the campfire and experience the true spirit of Scouting.

Registration: To ensure a smooth and organized event, please register by October 1st, 2024.
