Pioneer Days Cub Weekend 2020

Don't miss this FIRST EVER event! Gather up your entire family and join us at Camp La-No-Che to experience Old Florida and its pioneers! There’ll be some teepees, cooking on the “free open range” ropin’ and ridin’, candle making, tomahawks, atlatl's, fire building, toy making and even Dutch oven cooking! This is a unique camping experience different from any other Cub Weekend!
Cost: Fee includes all program and camping.
$26 per person through April 30th
$28 per person May 1st hru May 14th
$30 per person walk in May 14th & 15th
Arrival & Check In:
Friday, 4:00pm - 9:00pm OR
Saturday Beginning at 7:30am (Saturday Day Only Attendance is permitted. Price does not change)
Departure:
Sunday by 11:00am
Activities (Begin on Saturday at 8:30am rain or shine):
- Learn about Florida & Native American History
- Enjoy activities as they relate to Florida History
- Tomahawk & atlatl demonstration
- Primitive fire-building demonstration
- Try your hand at roping a steer or riding in a saddle
- Make your own rope & survival sticks
- Make Pioneer toys
- Make Butter & Pumpkin Fry Bread
- Have loads of FUN!
Bring your own meals (Dining Hall service will not be provided):
Bring your camp stove or grill & cook in the great outdoors just as the Pioneers did! Complete for the Golden Skillet award in the dutch oven desert contest on Saturday night. Please bring supplies to make one desert to share with others in attendance.
You will need your own tent, camping gear and food. Cook on camp stoves, your own grill or over an open fire.
Please remember pets, alcohol, and firearms are not permitted on camp property.
