CST-16 2024 College of Commissioner Science
The college of commissioner science (CCS) is an annual training event for registered commissioners. It is an opportunity to have a continuing education experience in a “college” environment. It helps the commissioner stay current in policy, techniques, and application of commissioner service to units.
The CCS will be held January 31st, - February 2nd 2025, at Camp La-No-Che, Florida. A full slate of courses is planned for Friday evening (1 session) and Saturday (7 sessions). Instruction will be completed by Saturday evening. Camping facilities will be available for Friday and Saturday nights, and meals will be served beginning with Friday evening thru Sunday breakfast. There are several options for camping, as described in the Course Catalog (See attached). Also, attendees can choose the number of meals they’d like to participate in. Costs are based on a per night charge for camping and on a per meal basis.
The training is organized in the manner of colleges, with the various levels of “degrees” offering progressively more detailed and comprehensive levels of education. The degrees offered called Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate. Additionally, there is a category of courses called Continuing Education for those Commissioners wishing to explore subject areas outside the three degree tracks.
Attendees will need to provide a completed Part B – General Information/Health History Medical Form upon check-in.
