Level 2 COPE Training

Camp La-No-Che in Paisley, Florida invites you to attend our upcoming COPE Level 2 Instructor Training May 2-4th, 2025 provided by the Central Florida Council
Training will cover:
- Basic knots
- Artificial Structure Rigging
- Inspection of Structure
- Administrative Procedures
- Emergency Procedures
- Facilitation and Processing of Groups
- Belay and Spotting Techniques
- And MORE.
Date & Time: Friday, May 2nd at 6:00PM to Sunday, May 4th at 4:00PM
Cost: $70 (includes course materials, food, air-conditioned bunkhouses for overnight stay)
Prequisites:
- participants can be 16 years old to attend training
- participants must be 21 years of age or over to be Certified
- participants must already have completed COPE Level 1 Instructor Training
- participants must be currently registered in the BSA and have completed current Youth Protection Training within 2 years
- participants must bring a current BSA Annual Health & Medical Record (Parts A & B)
Notes & Reminders:
All registrations for this training are considered "pending Council approval." You will be notified once you have been approved for participation; if you are not approved for whatever reason, a full refund with be provided.
A confirmation e-mail with additional details and guidance will be sent 5-6 days before the start of course.
Participants ONLY - no guests may be brought due to limited space and housing required.
Classes will begin at 6:00PM Friday and will include evening sessions each night. Participation in all sessions is required to become certified. (Level 2 Recertification candidates should speak with our Instructors beforehand if timing considerations must be made.)
Fee covers course materials, all meals & snacks, air-conditioned lodging.

Registration does NOT guarantee acceptance you will be notified of your acceptance for this course. This course may be strenuous to some and taking the course does not guarantee becoming trained. We will provide air conditioned housing in bunkhouses. Most classroom training will take place in the air-conditioned dining hall. Hands-on ropes training will take place using a variety of our Adventure Camp facilities, including:
- Climbing Tower (with four climbing positions)
- Adventure Tower (including 3 rappel walls and dueling zipline)
- High COPE course (including zigzag, giants ladder, confidence pole, pirates crossing, and multi-line traverse.)
- Low COPE course (including TP shuffle, noggin nocker, trust fall, triangle traverse, swinging log, nitro crossing, the pole, criss cross, and tire traverse.)
