Flight of the Eagles: Eagle Empire District Camporee
Prepare for takeoff! The Eagle Empire District invites all Scouts to a high-flying adventure at the Seminole Lake Gliderport from May 1st to May 3rd, 2026. This aviation-themed camporee is designed to inspire the next generation of pilots, engineers, and aerospace enthusiasts through hands-on learning, thrilling demonstrations, and classic Scouting adventure.

Event Highlights
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be immersed in the world of flight:
• Soaring High: Witness an awe-inspiring Paramotor Team demonstration.
• The Pilot’s Perspective: Scouts will have the incredible opportunity to take to the skies (pre-registration and waiver required).*
• Aviation Adventures: Engage in a full day of dynamic, aviation-themed activities.
• Evening Entertainment: Campfires, rocket launch, Search-And-Rescue exercise, and an aviation-themed movie night.

* Flight Participation: If you plan to fly, please contact Seminole Lake Gliderport (Phone: +1-352-394-5450 or Email: office@soarfl.com).  The fee is $150 for a 3,000-foot towed glider flight with an instructor.

Units in the Eagle Empire District camp for free.  Troops will provide their own meals.  Prerequisite: Scouts will have the opportunity to fly a drone and must complete the following training prior to arrival: https://www.scouting.org/the-recreational-uas-safety-test/.
