Alpha Merit Badge University( AMBU)
Alpha Merit Badge University (AMBU) is a one-day Scouting, education, and career exploration experience hosted by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Iota Beta Lambda Chapter (Brevard Alphas) in partnership with Scouting America. The program provides Scouts with an opportunity to work toward multiple merit badges while learning directly from professionals, subject-matter experts, and community leaders.
Through structured, hands-on merit badge sessions, Scouts explore areas such as Engineering, Traffic Safety, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Technology, Health Care Professions, Entrepreneurship, American Business, Oceanography, First Aid, Safety, and Citizenship. AMBU goes beyond traditional merit badge advancement by connecting Scouting requirements to real-world careers, practical skills, leadership development, mentorship, and community engagement.
By bringing Scouts together with accomplished professionals from a variety of industries, AMBU creates an environment where young people can earn, explore, connect, and envision what is possible for their future, while advancing the shared values of character, citizenship, leadership, and service.
