Please note this event is in Brooksville

Scouts will earn both Mining in Society and Geology merit badges in their entirety. 

MUST arrive by 8 am. Must fill out appearance release.

Registration open to only 35 scouts and 21 adults. 

CEMEX will charter a bus for the scouts, parents, and leaders who want to attend,  to travel to the quarry and for the tour. The bus will be a 56-passenger bus.  The bus will also be used for the quarry tour, so we will need to limit the number to no more than 56 people.

Meet the bus at the parking lot where Applebee’s is located at 20090 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville. The bus will depart at 8:15 am for the quarry.

CEMEX will provide lunches for the scouts and adults who are in attendance. They will do the Publix sandwiches, chips, water, and fruit cup/applesauce once again. If anyone has dietary restrictions, please have them bring their lunch to ensure that they are safe.

CEMEX will transport the scouts back to the Applebee’s parking lot.
