National Jamboree 2023 Contingent Member Payment - unscheduled

Event Details

This link is used to make a payment of any amount outside the payment schedule.  A new registration must be created each time you make a payment outside the payment schedule.  Once a payment is made, the Council must transfer the payment to the main Jamboree council registration event which results in the payment registration being cancelled.  Please note, this does not cancel the participants spot on the contingent.  A roster is kept which tracks payments also.

A non-refundable $100 deposit is required with registration to reserve your place on the CFC 2023 National Scout Jamboree Contingent.  Participants must have a minimum of $1,000 paid by 12/15/22.  Must be paid in full by April 15, 2023. Council must pay National for confirmed spots and purchase transportation, lodging, items for participants, etc.

COST: Total National Jamboree fee for the CFC Contingent is approximately $2,815* ($2,600 Early Bird Price End 10/31/22).  This fee includes everything at Jambo, transportation, side-trip excursion, hotel stay, meals, shirts, hat, multiple shakedown weekends, patches and other spirit items.  Payment plan is available. 

*Effective November 1, 2022, the price for a Central Florida Council 2023 National Scout Jamboree Contingent member registering for the Jamboree will increase to approximately $2,815 due to economic conditions such as fuel, food, and supply issues.

YOU are invited…Scouting’s flagship national event is one-of-a-kind. It’s a gathering of tens of thousands of Scouts and scouters showcasing everything that is great about Scouting. Over the course of 10 summer days scouts join together for this iconic outing. Because it takes place every four years, most scouts will only have one opportunity to visit the Jamboree as a youth. Many Jambo alumni said their experience was one of the most memorable adventures during their years in scouting.

Central Florida Council will travel as a group to The Summit in West Virginia, serving as the permanent home for the National Jamboree. Jamboree will take place July 17 – 28, 2023 including side-trip excursion. CFC is also planning a whitewater rafting adventure prior to our arrival at the Summit. News and information about this next Jamboree will be announced as plans develop.

Jamboree Qualifications: Scouts MUST have a current BSA membership with a ScoutsBSA troop or a Venture crew. MUST be at least 12 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree, but has not reached their 18th birthday by the last day of the Jamboree. Be approved by the unit leader and local council. MUST have appropriate parent/guardian to complete the online parental consent. (An email will be sent to the parent/guardian during the formal application process.) Participate in pre-Jamboree training experience with local council and unit leader. Submitted BSA Annual Health & Medical Record using the on-line Jamboree submission process. Submit all registrations fees per the local council’s payment schedule.

Contingent leadership has been working the Jamboree budget taking into consideration the following: National’s Jamboree Fee; Transportation to/from; Side excursion trip with hotel and meals; Spirit Items (shirts, patches,etc), “Shakedown” training weekends. Based on the analysis and estimated prices for the above items, the Central Florida Council Jamboree contingent fee is approximately: $2,600.00.

Payment Notes:

  • Key is your total paid in balances must meet or exceed the above schedule
  • Each participant must adhere to these milestone payments as Central Florida Council will be making scheduled payments to National and making deposits on transportation, excursions, hotels plus purchasing spirit items.
  • If for some reason a participant is unable to attend, a refund may be considered minus the non-refundable amount of $100, only if the participant's spot is able to be filled with another eligible participant (paid equivalent amount).
