Riverside District Pioneering under the Lights Camporee

Time to show off your creativity and pioneering skills!!!

This camporee you will set up a pioneering "gateway" that will be judged by the public.  You are encouraged to make your display interactive and use Christmas Lights to let it shine!!

Friday night you can arrive anytime before 4:30  NO CARS will be allowed to drive into the park after 4:30 (It is Stoll weekend and this willbe enforced no exceptions)  You will be able to drive again after pm. 

Saturday you will be assigned your area to set up your display.  It should be ready to go no later than 2pm.  You can "man" your display or not it is up to you.However this is a great opporttunity to recruit new youth into your unit!!  You cannot sell or give away food or water.  (Those units assigned to Lightfest on Saturday will be able to use thier display as their concession stand) .  The public will be asked to vote on their favorite Scout Display..  

Sunday;  Scouts own and head home.

Important things to note:

NO DRIVING IN THE PARK AT ALL FRIDAY OR SATURDAY FROM 4:30 TO 10 PM

There will be other people camping in the youth area.  All registered leaders and youth in your unit can camp with you.  All others will need to register for that Stroll Weekend Campout.   Your unit and  your youth will have thier camping fee covered by the Program Fee.  Webelos and Arrow of Lights must also register through the Stroll Weekend Campout.  

You will need to supply your own  gateway supplies.  We do have a limited number of string lights and extension cords that you can borrow.

THIS IS A PROGRAM FEE PAID EVENT.  REGISRATION IS REQUIRED
