National Youth Leadership Training (Winter 2025 Course)

December 26-31ST, 2025

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is the ultimate Youth Leadership Training available in the Council! It is an exciting, action-packed course designed to provide youth participants with the leadership skills and experiences they can use at home, at school, on the job, and at their Unit level. Attendees will gain the confidence and knowledge to run the Unit program in an atmosphere that is Scouting at its best!

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

• Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts
• 1st Class Rank or above (similar for Venturing and Sea Scouts)
• All Scouts must be 13 years of age by the 1st day of course
• NYLT is an intense course for mature Scouts who want to become better leaders!

PRE-REQUISITIES:

Current BSA Health Form A, B, C

• Unit Leader recommendation
• Completed ILST prior to attending course
• Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT) prior to course
• Youth should have some sort of week-long camping experience prior to attending NYLT.

COMMUNICATION:

NYLT is a youth-led program. Our goal is to communicate directly with the Scouts while keeping the parents informed. Youth Protection Guidelines will be followed at all times through all methods of communication.  In order for us to effectively communicate prior to and during course, it is ideal for us to have contact information for both the Scout and the Parent (email addresses and cell phone numbers).

• Arrival: December 26th, 9:00am
• Departure: December 31st, 2:00pm

$    250.00 In-Council (Balance due by 12/10/25 11:59pm)

$    325.00 Out-of-Council (Balance due by 12/10/25 11:59pm)
