FAQ
Rules of the Race: See attachment on the right for detailed rules of the Council Pinewood Derby Championship.
Can I build a new car?: Yes! The scout advances, not the car. Meaning, if you're participating in the Council PWD Championship race as a district winner, you can build a new car!
What if I didn't win in a district race before? You can join us in the general race! Perhaps your district didn't have a PWD in the last couple years, perhaps you're no longer a Cub Scout (maybe a few or more than a few years have passed since you were Cub age...) everyone is welcome to enter a car! We will offer speed and design awards for participants in the general race.
Covid Guidance: We will follow all Council and local government guidance for covid mitigation. Details will be provided via email by early May.
I can't be there, can I send my car? Yes! Proxy racing is possible. Please mail drop-off your car to the NCAC HQ between May 1 - 15.
