If you are unable to participate in your chapter ordeal, you must contact your chapter adviser to make arrangements to attend one of the other listed ordeals. You must make arrangements in advance to attend an ordeal outside of your chapter/district. You have one year from the date of your election to complete your ordeal.
What to Bring: All members will need to bring a tent. Candidates should bring the items you normally take on a weekend camping trip, except for food, cooking gear, and mess kit. Meals will be provided. Please arrive in work clothes (long sleeves and long pants) with your field (Class A) uniform packed. Be sure to mark all of your possessions with your name and unit number. Don’t forget a tent, rain gear, a water bottle, and a ground cloth or tarp. And please remember to eat dinner prior to your arrival on Friday.
Notice to Order of the Arrow members: All active Order of the Arrow members are encouraged to register. An active Order of the Arrow member is currently registered with BSA and 2016 Lodge dues are paid. If your dues are not current you will need to pay them. You can pay them online: www.scoutingevent.com/?oadues.
BSA Health & Medical Record Form required for all lodge/chapter events. All Order of the Arrow members/candidates who attend the Ordeal MUST complete the medical form. (It is the first one on this page; it is used for activities of less than 72 hours. This does not require a doctor’s signature)
All medications need to be in the original containers with the Scouts' name, dosage requirements (containers will be returned), and with the correct amount of Medication for the weekend. This includes over the counter drugs with a signed note from Parent/Guardian with dosage and instructions on time to be taken. Place all containers in a zip-locked bag labeled with the Scouts' name. If you use an inhaler or epipen, please bring a second one (Scout will carry one and the health center will hold the second.)
BRING THE COMPLETED HEALTH & MEDICAL RECORD FORM WITH A PHOTOCOPY OF BOTH SIDES OF YOUR INSURANCE CARD TO THE ORDEAL, IF THE FAMILY DOES NOT HAVE MEDICAL INSURANCE STATE "NONE".
Cancellation Policy: Refunds for events with fees of $25.00 and over may be granted (less 15% handling fee) for the following reasons: sickness (with physician's statement), relocation, or death in the family. If the event fees are under $25.00 per person, there will be no refunds and the fees cannot be credited toward another event. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the contact identified above and acknowledged.
