This in-person course will cover all the Cub leader and committee positions, to include assistant positions, in a seminar setting: Cubmaster; Den Leader; and Pack Committee.  All the material in the online courses will be covered plus how to actually perform your duties and be a great leader, right from the start.  There will be lots of tips and resources not covered in the online courses, and time for discussion. There may be a few silly jokes.

You will come away with an understanding of Scouting and the Cub program that you cannot get online, with practical tips on how to organize and lead Cubs, how to organize and run meetings, and how to handle the pack admin/back office requirements.

Should you just take the four hour online course in my.scouting instead of this in-person course?  The online course covers the bare minimum but you could call yourself trained if you pass the multiple choice tests.  However, if you truly want to Do Your Best, and be the best possible leader you can be from your first day as a leader, and lead and inspire youth, you'll take this in-person course even if you've already taken the online course.

The fee covers the NCAC direct and indirect costs and you'll take home all the course materials and resources in a binder ($3.71); a Trained patch (which would be $1.99 at the Scout Shop); and some useful items you can use as the genius Cub leader that the course will train you to become.

Invite all the leaders, parents, and pack committee members to attend with you and have a productive unit discussion.  All adults are welcome!  The course starts promptly at 9:00 a.m. and typically ends by 12:30.  Wear your uniform.  Bring a pen and your own beverages and snacks (this keeps costs down).  A Keurig machine is available but you should bring your own mug, K-pods, sweetener, cream, etc.  Walk-ins are welcome but we can't guarantee we'll have enough course materials on hand.
