STEM Speaker Series featuring Astronaut Dan Tani
During the pandemic, the NCAC STEM Committee launched a STEM Speaker Series, bringing several STEM professionals to talk to youth via ZOOM. We hosted a nuclear scientist, medical physicist, veterinarian, statistician, USCG pilot, electrical engineer and several STEM experts– you can rewatch the talks here.
SPECIAL EDITION STEM Speaker Series featuring Astronaut Dan Tani
November 8 & 15 at 4pm EST
Astronaut Dan Tani graduated from MIT (with two degrees!) then joined NASA where he went on 3 shuttles in a couple spaceflight missions. In one of his spacewalks. he wrapped thermal blankets around the ISS' solar array gimbals. He and Astronaut Whitson actually completed the 100th spacewalk!
