Townes Supernova Woodwork Project Days

Open Registration Sessions

Our Open Registration Sessions are a great opportunity for individual Cub Scouts or small groups to complete a woodworking project that fulfills Requirement 1, Option A of the Charles H. Townes Supernova Award.  Groups of 4 or more should consider scheduling their own shop work session.  Please review the Supernova information page on our website and follow the link for Reserving Michael's Woodshop.

Who:  These sessions are open to Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts who are pursuing the Charles H. Townes Supernova Award.

Projects:  Scouts will have the option to build either a Traditional Wren House or a Classic Tool Box.  Photos of these projects are included in our Project Idea List.

Choose a check in time.  Check in times are offered every 2 hours during the scheduled activity. Select a time slot for each individual attending.

Target Completion Time The target completion time is 2 hours.

Leaders/Parents:  The objective of our work sessions is to provide Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts with the opportunity to complete a woodworking project that meets Requirement 1, Option A of the Charles H. Townes Supernova Award. Please plan to stay with your scout as we must have sufficient adult supervision to safely operate the shop and stay within youth protection guidelines.  Please take a moment to review our Participant Information page, which includes important information about the shop activity as well as a camp map showing the location of Michael's Woodshop.
