STEM Scouts

STEM Scouts tinker, explore and get creative doing hands-on activities in Lab meetings and occassional field trips. They try new things as they work with others, lead teams, communicate results and work with people in STEM careers.

This is a co-ed program! STEM Scouts was designed by scientists from Oak Ridge National Laboratory to prepare girls and boys for a future of STEM literacy. Typically each year, we have 4-5 hands-on activities and accompanying kits for various themed modules.

This is a volunteer-led program

All families should plan to volunteer in some capacity! You will be able to select how you'd like to volunteer - whether you're comfortable as a STEM module instructor, classroom helper, or field trip planner. It's a fun program!

Parents/guardians, please complete the one-hour online Youth Protection Training. You will create an account, and receive a PDF certificate upon completion.

If you have any questions, please reach out to:

Council STEM team at STEM@NCACBSA.ORG

To register your youth for the program, please select "Register" on the right column.

Any questions? Please ask!
