Event Details

Cub Scout STEM Camp 2019

Join us for a special week of exciting STEM activities and adventures. In addition, we will have BB’s, archery, handicrafts, and other outdoor fun!

The fee for the entire week is only $349.  After June 10, the price will increase by $20. After July 8, the price point will increase by an additional $50. To get the early bird price, each camper must be registered and paid by the early bird deadlines. Cost does not include lunch or snacks.

STEM Camp FAQs:

1. Does my unit need a Pack Day Camp Coordinator?

A Pack Day Camp Coordinator is required for traditional
District Day Camp, but is not required for this STEM Day Camp.

2. Does my unit need to provide Den Walkers?

The cost of Den Walkers and chaperones is included in the fee for the STEM Week, but we welcome all volunteers.  If you would like to help out for one of more days throughout the week, please contact Geoffrey Thomas.

3. What about Tigers?

Because of the BSA policy, Tigers must be accompanied by an adult partner. All adults MUST show proof that they have completed YPT.

4. What are the hours of the day camp?

The daily program will run from 8:00am-3:00pm.

5. What are the hours for the early and late drop off option?

Early drop off allows for drop off at 7:00am and late pick up will be at 4:00pm. The camp can accommodate up to 25 campers for early drop-off and/or late pick-up.

6. Will lunch be provided?

Lunch WILL NOT be provided. Campers must bring their lunch with them, as well as any snacks desired. We will provide PLENTY of water for them to drink.

7. What forms are required?

The STEM Camp requires that each scout pre-register online.  Additionally, a competed Cub Scout Release Authorization Form and BSA Medical forms (Part A&B) will need to be turned in before the first day of camp.  Additionally, all adults must show proof that they have completed YPT.

8. What about financial assistance?

Information on applying for camperships can be found at gotodaycamp.org.  A campership is a scholarship and is only provided if there is due need and the Scout’s family cannot afford the cost of Cub Scout STEM Camp or another day camp in the Council.
