"Projectiles and Rock Piles"

October 21-23, 2022

Camp Rock Enon, Gore VA

This year’s District Fall Camporee will combine shooting sports with climbing and other Scout Skill activities.  Each Patrol will test their skills in seven different events:

• Marksmanship at the Rifle Range
• Tomahawk throwing for accuracy
• Archery shooting
• Slingshot target course for accuracy
• Cooking skills
• Fire building
• Climbing at the climbing wall

Stations are in an “open program” format except for shooting at the range and climbing at the wall.  Patrols will be assigned times for the shooting station and climbing wall during Friday night’s leaders meeting.

Note:  Due to the nature of the planned events, Cub Scouts are precluded from this event.

Friday, October 21

1700 - 2100: Check in, Camp setup

2130 - 2200: SPL/SM Cracker Barrel - Final program information disseminated

2230: Taps - Lights out, quiet time

Saturday, October 22

0600: Reveille - Breakfast in campsites

0800: Opening Ceremony - Flag Raising, Welcome

0830 - 1130: Camporee Program

1130 - 1300: Lunch Break

1300 - 1630: Camporee Program

1645: Flag Lowering

1800 - 2000: Dinner at Campsite

2030: Campfire - Awards ceremony, skits, songs

2230: Lights Out

0600: Reveille - Breakfast in campsites

0830 - 0930: Cleanup/Checkout
