Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS S11)

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) is the required outdoor training for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters. The skills taught are based on the outdoor skills found in The Boy Scout Handbook. The overnight campout course focus is on the skills that build confidence and competence in leaders conducting outdoor camping experiences. This training is also ideal for Venturing Advisors, if they have crews with outdoor programs, and Webelos Leaders and Committee Members.

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED, NO WALK-IN REGISTRATION PERMITTED

Schedule: 7:00 Friday to 7:00 pm Saturday (weekend camping)
Everything participates will be divided into patrols. Patrol members will be responsible for communicating with one another, coordinating equipment and meal planning.

Required Paperwork:
Complete and bring the Annual Health and Medical Records Form

Prerequisites: Boy Scout Fast Start, This is Scouting, Youth Protection, Troop Committee Training (Committee Scouters). All courses can be found on myscouting.org

Uniforms:
This is a uniformed event, if you have one wear it

It is highly recommended that you take Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training (S24) prior to attend this course.
