Join us for a stroll at Historic Fort Washington!.

Choose the distance you would like to hike. 

Hike the trails, Explore the Fort, Learn some History and enjoy the views including the Potomac River and Mount Vernon from the Maryland shore.

Join in a Service Project to benefit the park.

9:00 AM Step Off Distance approximately 6 Miles. Recommended for Webelos, Arrow of Lights and Scouts

10 AM Step Off Distance approximately 3 Miles Recommended for Cub Scouts

Fort Washington served our Nation from the War of 1812—to World War II as an active Military installation defending the city of Washington DC. In 1946 the Fort was returned to the Department of the Interior and came under the care of the Nation Parks Service. Much of the Fort remains and can be toured. Visit NPS.gov/fowa/ for more information on the park.
