C&O canal clean up on Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10, 2024

Open to the White Oak, Potomac and Seneca Districts

This year we are planning on having three sessions, spread over two days, with each session being at a different location:

• Saturday morning, March 9 from 8:45 am until noon at the White’s Ferry parking Lot, 24801 Whites Ferry Road, Dickerson, MD 20842.
   
• Saturday afternoon, March 9 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Dickerson Conservation Parking Lot, 20700 Martinsburg Road, Dickerson, MD 20842
   
• Sunday afternoon, March 10 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Monocacy Aqueduct Parking Lot, 21115 Mouth of Monocacy Road, Dickerson, MD 20842 (drive to the end of Mouth of Monocacy Road to get to the parking area)
   

Open to Cub Scouts and Scouts, BSA of all ages!

• You will need to take your temperature prior to arriving.
• Each person needs to bring their own water.
• Trash bags and gloves will be provided.
• No one is allowed to enter the water.
• If you are able to bring a wheelbarrow to haul trash back to the collection site, that would be appreciated!

All volunteers will need to fill out the attachment '2023 C&O Volunteer Service Agreement', which is required by the National Park Service. Make sure both sides of the form are filled out.

Note:

1) One form per person, even children. They're free to enter any of it digitally except the signature. The signature must be by hand. 

2) They'll need to fill out the highlighted areas, but there may be some spots outside of it, such as the optional demographics questions or the dependent child boxes at the top of the second page, which they'll need to look over too. Most of the bottom of the second page is for the park to fill out.

Print the agreement and bring to the event along with a printed copy of the registration confirmation.
