Who: Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Crew Advisors, Associate Crew Advisors, and other adult volunteers who want to help with basic advancement skills and outdoor program activities, and who need to complete their training requirements.

What: Instruction designed to hone outdoor skills, conducted in a “mini Wood Badge” format using the patrol method. Focuses on Unit structure, event planning, camping, scouting skills, and outdoor cooking. Partially fulfills the training requirements for SM, ASM, VA, and AVA positions.

When: “Sunday-Friendly” schedule. Classroom Session – September 15, 7-9 pm at the LDS McLean Stake Center, 2034 Great Falls St, Falls Church, VA 22043.  Weekend Session starts at 6 pm, Friday, September 23 and runs through 8:15 pm, Saturday, September 24 at Camp Highroad.

Where: Camp High Road, 21164 Steptoe Hill Rd, Middleburg, Virginia, 20117

Bring: Class A uniform (wear), Scoutmaster Handbook & Boy Scout Handbook or Venturer Handbook & Venturing Leader Manual, Friday evening meal, Saturday breakfast, and evening meals, camping gear for weekend, and lawn chair.
