Washington, D.C. Spring Camporee 2026

LOCATION: American Legion Youth Camp (9201 Surratts Rd, Cheltenham, Md 20623)
DATE: April 17-19, 2026
THEME: Liberty-Oree (Scouts BSA)
Come join the Scouts of the Washington, D.C. District for a weekend of learning about the heritage and history of our nation! This will be done through the Citizenship in the Nation and the American Heritage Merit Badges. Scouts will rotate through stations to complete requirements and practice the important skills needed to earn these two merit badges.
THEME: Liberty in Action (Cub Scouts)
Come join the Cub Scouts of the Washington, D.C. District for a weekend of adventure in the wilderness! We will have each scout den work together to earn elective adventures for their ranks in the morning, followed by an afternoon of completing the Liberty in Action America’s 250th Anniversary Challenge!

ADDITIONAL NOTE FOR CUB SCOUTS
Arrow of Light Scouts will participate in the Troop program, as the new Scouting America Cub Scout Program suggests. They will join their troops or crews as they visit the stations and earn the two Merit Badges (if they have submitted the proper paperwork to join a troop). Arrow of Light Scouts will camp with their Troops, as they have all crossed over.
Younger Cubs will have the opportunity to family camp with their Pack units and rotate through the Cub Scout adventure stations.
