Fundamentals of Training/Trainer's EDGE
The Fundamentals of Training
and
Trainer’s EDGE.
EVENT DETAILS
Do you train leaders, parents, or scouts? Have you considered training but don’t know where to begin? Or maybe you have years of experience in training but want to add some pizzazz to it.
Come join us for The Fundamentals of Training and Trainer’s EDGE.
The Fundamentals of Training session is designed to help scouters, regardless of their experience, to present effective training. It will also help those who might have trained for other organizations learn the BSA’s training techniques and it will help freshen up the skills of current BSA trainers.
The Trainer’s EDGE session is designed to provide and help platform skills of the trainer with the focus in raising the level of the trainer’s skill. In this session you will have the opportunity to apply strategies for managing learner behaviors, giving and receiving feedback, and practice training methodologies.
At the conclusion of the training, you will be able to understand the principles of how people learn and equip yourself with a broad range of ideas, techniques, and materials, which will enable you to select approaches to communicate your messages most successfully, and with PIZZAZZ!
The Trainer’s EDGE emphasizes the importance of “experiential learning,” or learning by doing, as well as numerous other contemporary training strategies. These strategies can then be applied to a wide range of training programs.
