Conservation Project in Memory of Will Rodger
Will Rodger served as the Chair of the NCAC Conservation Committee, on the NCAC International Committee & in many roles in Toop 131 in Alexandria, VA. In his role as chair of the Conservation Committee he energetically & passionately focused on supporting scouts in earning the prestigious Hornaday (now Distinguished Conservation Service Award)(DCSA) award for their exceptional, impactful conservation projects.
To honor Will, Camp Snyder, the NCAC Conservation Committee and Troop 131 invite you to participate in a conservation project to restore habitat at Camp William Snyder in Haymarket, VA. More specifically we will remove invasive plants such as autumn olive & bush honeysuckle and we will plant some native trees.
Sunday October 6 at 2-5pm

Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, Sea Scouts & Scouters who participate will receive the Messengers of Peace ring patch. Scouts who participate in the event will receive three (3) hours of conservation work toward advancement.

Please wear:
- long sleeves
- long pants
- hat
- appropriate schoes
Please bring
- work gloves
- reusable bottle for water
- snack if you'll need one
- tools such as hand clippers, loppers, hand saws
