George Mason District Pinewood Derby

When:  April 13th, 2024

Where:  St James Catholic Church (Monsignor Heller Hall), Falls Church, VA

Who:  Each Pack’s 1st place winners by age group (Lion, Tiger, etc.).  If the 1st place winner is unavailable, send the 2nd place winner for that age group.

Schedule

Lions, Tigers, Wolves arrive between 8:30am and 9:00am for inspection and check-in.  (Early check-in for other ranks encouraged).

                Races start at 9:30am:          Lions                      9:30am –   9:50am

                                                             Tigers                     9:50am – 10:10am

                                                             Wolves               10:10am – 10:50am

Bears, Webelos 1 and AOL arrive between 9:30am and 10:00am for inspection and check-in.

                Races start at 10:30am:       Bears                   10:30am – 10:50am

                                                            Webelos 1        10:50am – 11:10am

                                                            AOL                      11:10am – 11:30am

GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP and AWARDS will be held at 11:30am

PLEASE NOTE CHECK-IN TIMES - Pre-registration is required.  IF all registrants for a rank race are checked in, the Pit Boss may start the race before the posted time. The 20 minutes allowed per rank race may vary, depending on the number of entrants.

                                EARLY CHECK-IN ENCOURAGED

• NO GRAPHITE in Monsignor Heller Hall.  Apply it in the prep area.
• Bring your own repair kit/parts
• No refreshments provided, but concessions (for sale) will be available
