Trade-o-ree collections Merit Badge

Event Details

Calling all budding collectors! Join us at the Washington, DC Trade-O-Ree for an exciting chance to earn your Collections Merit Badge. This immersive workshop will delve into the art of collecting, teaching scouts about different types of collections, how to organize and preserve items, and the history behind various patches and scouting memorabilia.

Participants are encouraged to bring their collections or photos of them to share with fellow scouts, adding a personal touch to the experience. Whether it's stuffed animals, patches, or even sports memorabilia, this badge workshop is the perfect opportunity to showcase and learn about diverse collections. Please note that for the Collections Merit Badge, stamps and coins have their own merit badges and cannot be used to fulfil the requirements for Collections. If you don't have a collection of your own, that's no problem! Every participant will be provided a starter collection.

Mark your calendars! The Collections Merit Badge workshop will be held on Saturday, December 2nd at 9:00 AM in the Camp Snyder Dining Hall, offering scouts an engaging dive into the art of collecting, all for $5! For those unable to attend, fret not! The Trade-O-Ree is open on Friday evening too, allowing everyone to explore collections and trade items, even if they can't make it to the merit badge class. Join us in celebrating the thrill of collecting at this not-to-be-missed event!
