(For Scoutmasters/ Assistant Scoutmasters/ Committee Chair/ Committee and any interested adult who is 18 or older)

Who takes training? This course is intended for Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Comittee Chair, Committee members and parents. It is designed to further your scouting interests and to help enhance your job performance.

What to bring:
- Snacks if desired,
- Bring a cup (to save the environment),
- Questions.

Coffee/Tea will be available during class.

Maryland Service Area offers Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills (IOLS)  
You must register for IOLS separately.
(You can take IOLS before you take this course.)

     Important: To receive credit for the course and a training card, you must complete all prerequisites prior to the class and provide evidence of completion.

- Hazardous Weather Training Course (SCO_800-28 minutes) (Found by going into the Learning Center, My Training, Scouts BSA, Catalog (Across top), enter hazard in Search area (or scroll down).

Please gather your training dates before you start the registration process.  It will make the registration easier.  If you have already taken Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS), please provide the date.

Online registration requires the following information:
- BSA ID Number (If you don't know, contact Mary Lou Gundersen or under My Profile while in my.scouting.org)
- Full Name (As found on BSA membership card)
- Email Address
- Phone numbers (one you will answer - due to possibility of bad weather)
- Address
- District
- Unit Type/Number
- Current Registered Position
- Position to be Trained for
- Training Courses & Date Completed

This is a uniformed event, if you have one wear it.
