George Mason Spring Camporee 2023

Come join the George Mason District from May 5 to May 7 as we step back into history and explore the Antietam Battlefield by canoe or foot. The battle of Antietam was a result of the Confederate Army’s attempt to invade the North and win control of the Civil War. Activities at this camporee consist of canoeing (limited to first 75 scouts), a hike of the battlefield, and a scout skills competition. Units must ensure all canoeing participants have passed a BSA swim test BEFORE arriving at the Camporee and should be prepared to provide at check-in evidence of the date on which the Scout passed the swim test. The Camporee does not have facilities or staff to administer a swim test at the site.
Webelos II Scouts attending the Camporee with a Scouts BSA unit may only participate in hiking and other on-land activities. They are not able to canoe.
