Check-in time for Ordeal candidates: Friday, May 13 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Check out time for Ordeal candidates: Sunday, May 15 at 10:00 AM
Registration: All registrations must be completed online. Gather the following information before starting your registration: Registration closes: Wednesday, May 11, 11:59 PM.

Elangomats: Members that are interested in being an elangomat need to contact their Chapter Chief (chainbridgechapter@wipit470.org for Chain Bridge, colonialchapter@wipit470.org for Colonial) prior to registering.
Notice to Ordeal Candidates: All ordeal candidates that have been elected during the election period should have received a notice confirming their candidacy and an invitation to attend the upcoming ordeal from the Chain Bridge or Colonial Chapter.
Notice to Order of the Arrow members: An active Order of the Arrow member is currently registered with BSA, and 2022 Lodge dues are paid. If your dues are not current, you will need to pay them. You can pay them online: https://scoutingevent.com/082-52773.
BSA Health & Medical Record Form required for all Order of the Arrow events. All Order of the Arrow members AND Ordeal candidates who attend the MUST complete and bring the BSA medical form parts A and B.
BRING THE COMPLETED HEALTH & MEDICAL RECORD FORM WITH A PHOTOCOPY OF BOTH SIDES OF YOUR INSURANCE CARD TO THE ORDEAL. IF THE FAMILY DOES NOT HAVE MEDICAL INSURANCE STATE "NONE."
All medications need to be in the original containers with the Scouts' name, dosage requirements (containers will be returned), and with the correct amount of Medication for the weekend. This includes over the counter drugs with a signed note from Parent/Guardian with dosage and instructions on time to be taken. Place all containers in a zip-locked bag labeled with the Scouts' name. All medications shall be turned in during check-in. If you use an inhaler or epi-pen, please bring a second one (Scout will carry one and the health center will hold the second.)
We will follow any COVID-19 protocols in place at the time by the Commonwealth of Virginia, Prince William County, and NCAC.
Ordeal Weekend Gear: These items should be packed in a separate bag from the rest of your gear and be able to be easily carried:
- Masks (optional at this time)
- Personal size hand sanitizer
- 2 Waterproof ground cloth/sheets (tarp)
- Sleeping bag
- Water bottle
- Insect repellent & Sunscreen
- Your remaining gear should include the following:
- Complete BSA uniform (shirt, pants, belt, socks, neckerchief, & hat)
- Work clothes, work gloves, and hat (some work projects will involve work that will potentially soil your clothing; so be sure to bring work clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or paint on. As there is a possibility you may encounter poison ivy, please consider wearing a long-sleeved shirt and long pants for your work clothing and bring a change of work clothing in a plastic bag should you need to change during the day.)
- Personal grooming supplies
- Jacket/windbreaker
- Multiple pairs of socks
- Change(s) of underwear
- Rain gear (a scout is prepared)
- Flashlight with extra batteries
- Sturdy boots or work shoes
- Tent
- OA Sash (current members)
- REMEMBER: All clothing should be appropriate for the outdoors and time of year. Remember you should pack for the season; be prepared!
- DO NOT BRING: radios, CD player, or other electronic equipment. You may be asked to check-in your cell phone or to lock it in your car.
- DO NOT BRING: any snacks or food items.
