WSD Scout BSA Leader Training

Scouts BSA Leader Training April 8, 2022

 

Training will be provided in the following positions

  • Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster (S24)
  • Troop Committee Chairman (WS10)
  • Troop Committee Member (WS10)

This will be a combined outdoor class where participants are trained in all positions. The class will be held the evening before the April 9-10 IOLS/BALOO class at Kings Landing Park, 3255 Kings Landing Rd, Huntingtown, MD 20639

Registration and check-in is at 5:30 pm with training 6:00 – 10:00 pm. Arrive on time. You must be present for the full class to receive credit. No meals will be provided. You may camp Friday night or leave after the class and come back the next morning.

Prerequisite training Youth Protection Training. Hazardous Weather Training and Safe Swim Defense, Safety Afloat are highly recommended as they will be referred to during the training: Note: Hazardous Weather Training and IOLS are required to be fully trained as a SM/ASM, Safe Swim Defense, Safety Afloat is encouraged.

 

The class will be limited to 40 participants. Registration information must be received no later than, April 1, 2022.

There is no fee for this training

Annual Health and Medical Record: You must bring a copy of your Annual Health and Medical Record 2021 Part A and Part B the day of the class. This is required to attend the training. Your AHMR forms will be returned to you at the end of the class.

COVID Safety Mitigations

1) A COVID-19 Pre-Event Medical Screening Checklist will be sent to each participant that will be collected upon arrival.  Temperatures will be taken upon arrival.
2) CDC compliant masks must be always worn when social distancing is not possible.

Note: Toilets and water will be available.  Showers are dependent on the park
