AQUIA DISTRICT CUB SCOUT GEOSCOUTING EVENT

Come join us for Aquia District’s inaugural Cub Scout GeoScouting Event!  A great outdoor activity to get the Pack together during the summer and help earn those National Summertime Pack Awards and multiple spots to qualify on the Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award!  Each participant will receive a GeoScouting Patch they can wear in the temporary patch position and the fastest Den in each level will earn a trackable GeoScouting Coin.

Dens will compete as Lions & Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos, and Arrow of Light, running on five separate courses with five geo-caches to find.  Each geo-cache will have a specific sticker or stamp to be affixed to the Den’s event card and the fastest Den with cards marked in the right spots will win.  The Geo-Scouting Coins will be presented at the August Roundtable.

Locust Shade Park, 4701 Locust Shade Dr, Triangle, VA

Time slots begin at 9:00 am and run through 12:45 pm. Please have your Den’s assembled and ready 15 minutes prior to your start time.

Cost:  $7.00 per Scout to cover the cost of patches, coins, and facility usage.

A GPS or Smartphone with a GPS app will be required per each Den grouping.  Staff will have limited GPS available to borrow.
