SCOUTING ON FOOT: CAMP SNYDER’S WETLANDS TRAIL
JUNE 5, 2021 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM
It’s time to get back out there. Outdoors. Sky, breeze, birds singing, water gently moving through the rocks and reeds. There is only one way to really see it and feel it -- on foot. And we have our very own special place to start. Camp Snyder’s 1.5 mile nature trail winds through a large wetlands forest area and around a large pond: home to a wide variety of trees and other plant life and to wildlife that walk, crawl, swim, and fly.
On June 5, 2021, you can discover the wonders of the wetlands and their importance to our planet. Hike the trail. Stop at the markers to learn more about what you see. Talk to a naturalist. Identify birds and plants. Work on birdhouses to be placed around Camp Snyder. And along the way, play some games and learn some hiking tips and skills.
Start your summer with Scouting on Foot at Camp Snyder on June 5! It’s FREE!
