Notice to all attendees: The health and safety of all Scouts/Scouters is our top priority for this and all events. PRIOR TO REGISTERING - Please refer to the AWL #470 and Chapter Activities COVID -19 Protocols located under attachments on this page. If you are in the “at risk” group as defined by the CDC, for COVID-19, we strongly advise against attending this event. If you are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, do NOT attend. We will send out the Health Screening Protocols prior to the event. If you fall under the “No” Category, please let us know and please do not attend. You will be screened up arriving at Camp as well and will be turned away if you are in the “No” category or if you are running a fever.

Registration: All registrations must be completed online. Gather the following information before starting your registration:
- OALM# (not required for Ordeal candidates), BSA ID#, Brotherhood eligibility, and allergies/medical/dietary restrictions.
Registration closes: October 17, 2020, 11:59 pm
Check-In Time for Ordeal Candidates: Friday 6:00-8:00 pm OR Saturday 6:00-8:00 pm
Check Out Time: Saturday 3:00 pm OR Sunday 3:00 PM
Elangomats: Members that are interested in being an Elangomat for the Ordeal candidates need to contact Alexander Shipley and Scott Miller prior to registering.
Notice to Ordeal Candidates: All ordeal candidates that have been elected during the election period should have received a notice confirming their candidacy and an invitation to attend the upcoming ordeal from the Chain Bridge Chapter.
Notice to Order of the Arrow members: An active Order of the Arrow member is currently registered with BSA and 2020 Lodge dues are paid. If your dues are not current, you will need to pay them. You can pay them online: https://scoutingevent.com/082-2020OADues.
BSA Health & Medical Record Form required for all lodge/chapter events. All Order of the Arrow members/candidates who attend the Ordeal MUST complete the BSA medical form parts A and B.
All medications need to be in the original containers with the Scouts' name, dosage requirements (containers will be returned), and with the correct amount of Medication for the weekend. This includes over the counter drugs with a signed note from Parent/Guardian with dosage and instructions on time to be taken. Place all containers in a zip-locked bag labeled with the Scouts' name. All medications shall be turned in during check-in. If you use an inhaler or epi-pen, please bring a second one (Scout will carry one and the health center will hold the second.)
BRING THE COMPLETED HEALTH & MEDICAL RECORD FORM WITH A PHOTOCOPY OF BOTH SIDES OF YOUR INSURANCE CARD TO THE ORDEAL, IF THE FAMILY DOES NOT HAVE MEDICAL INSURANCE STATE "NONE".
Ordeal Weekend Gear
These items should be packed in a separate bag from the rest of your gear and be able to be easily carried:
Masks (multiple)
Personal size hand sanitizer
2 Waterproof ground cloth/sheets (tarp)
Sleeping bag
Water bottle
Insect repellent & Sunscreen
Your remaining gear should include the following:
Complete Boy Scout uniform (shirt, pants, belt, socks, neckerchief, & hat)
Work clothes, work gloves, and hat (some work projects will involve work that will potentially soil your clothing; so be sure to bring work clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or paint on. As there is a possibility you may encounter poison ivy, please consider wearing a long-sleeved shirt and long pants for your work clothing, and bring a change of work clothing in a plastic bag should you need to change during the day.)
Personal grooming supplies
Jacket/windbreaker
Multiple pairs of socks
Change(s) of underwear
Rain gear (a scout is prepared)
Flashlight with extra batteries
Sturdy boots or work shoes
OA Sash (current members)
REMEMBER: All clothing should be appropriate for the outdoors and time of year. Remember you should pack for the season; be prepared!
DO NOT BRING: radios, CD player, or other electronic equipment. You may be asked to check-in your cell phone or to lock it in your car.
DO NOT BRING: any snacks or food items.
