Camp Snyder Scouts BSA Specialty Week 2021

Thank you for choosing Camp William B. Snyder. We are pleased to have you with us this summer. For the first time ever we are offering a Scouts BSA specialty week! This program will be offered as both a resident or a day program in order to support as many Scouts as we can.

This specialty week is designed for provisional scouts (those attending individually) but may also be attended as a unit. This program is open to both boys and girls registered in Scouts BSA units.

This program is designed to offer Scouts the opportunity to enjoy a week of fun, advancement, and growth with or without camping. Participants will have the opportunity to earn up to 5 merit badges. Our schedule will includes a selection of both Eagle required and elective Merit badges. Some of the merit badges we are plannig to offer are American Cultures, American Heritage, Animal Science, Animation, Archaeology, Archery, Architecture, Art, Aviation, Basketry, Bird Study, Canoeing, Chess, Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, Communication, Emergency Preparedness, Energy, Engineering, Environmental Science, Fingerprinting, First Aid, Fish & Wildlife Management, Fishing, Forestry, Game Design, Geocaching, Leatherwork, Lifesaving, Mammal Study, Mining in Society, Moviemaking, Music, Nuclear Science, Orienteering, Photography, Pioneering, Plant Science, Programming, Public Health, Public Speaking, Radio, Railroading, Reptile and Amphibian Study, Rifle Shooting, Robotics, Rowing, Scouting Heritage, Search and Rescue, Signs Signals and Codes, Soil and Water Conversation, Space Exploration, Swimming, Weather, Welding, Wilderness Survival, Wood Carving & Woodwork

COVID avisory:  Due to Virginia State guidenance for overnight summer camp programs, all overnight participants will be required to either provide a negative COVID-19 test that had been taken within 7 days of their arrival at camp or completed a 14 day quartine prior to your arrival at camp.
