Photography Merit Badge Online Class

Note: Our council is attempting to offer a platform for merit badges counselors to work with groups. In order to test this, NCAC will offer a class for completing a merit badge from home. Enrollment is limited so we can test the system, but we'll roll out more at-home Scouting activities next week.
Photography Merit Badge
This badge is good for Scouts BSA members of all levels.
Equipment Needed:
- An internet-connected device – A computer, tablet, or smartphone connected to the Internet to participate in the class
- A camera – Smartphone, action camera, DSLR, or point and shoot. Any camera will do.
The class is free to attend. Enrollment is limited for the class, so please only register if you are able to make all sessions. You must have parental approval to enroll.
Dates and Times:
The class will be held on the following dates and times. You must attend all three sessions and complete tasks at home as well to complete the merit badge.
- Session 1 — Thursday March 19 – 7:00-8:30 pm
- Session 2 — Friday, March 20 – 7:00-8:30 pm
- Session 3 — Sunday, March 22 – 7:00-8:30 pm
Between Sessions, Scouts will have a few projects to complete. There will be approximately 4-5 hours of work to be completed on their own unless the Scout has already been capturing photos.
