Den Chief Training (C31) (Seneca)
Seneca District is offering In Person Den Chief training
Schedule:
Date: December 7, 2025
Registration: 2:00-2:15PM
Class: 2:15PM to 6:PM
Class will start promptly at 2:15pm
Costs:
Youth - $12.00 each - includes a physical copy of the Den Chief Handbook
Adults - Free, but must register for the class
NOTE: At least One Adult must accompany YOUTH from the Unit. (Adult can be from their Troop, Crew or the Pack that they are working with or the parent/gardian.). One Adult may supervise and be responsible for no more than 5 Youth.

Who May Attend:
This event is being hosted by Seneca District. Attendance is open to all districts.
Why be a Trained Den Chief?
Who is a Den Chief? The Den Chief supports the Cub Scout/Family Scout leadership, serving as a helper, role model, and a friend to the Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos and Arrow of Light (AOL) dens.
Qualifications: Be an experienced Scouts BSA youth (male or female) with First Class rank or above or a Venturing Scout (male or female) and All must have at least one full year or more of tenure needed for age separation. Complete all required training (this class).
Who Else Should Come?? Scouts BSA, Crew, Ships and Cub Scout/Family Scouting Leader(s) who will be working with the Den Chief(s) are encouraged to attend this course at NO charge, but you MUST register.
This is a FULL uniformed event, Class A. Dress for the weather – some of the training will take place outside.

Information needed before starting your registration:
- Name
- Scouting America ID number
- Address
- Email address (one that is read)

- Unit information
- Birth date (youth only)
- Gender (youth only)
- Name of adult accompanying the youth (youth only)
- Scout rank (youth only)
- Currently a Den Chief? (youth only)
- Leadership position or relationship (adult only)
- Any allergies/medical restrictions (all)
What to Bring:
- These will be returned at checkout
- No Electronic Copies are Accepted!!!
- Completed 72 hour health form - Part A & B only (right hand column)
- Copy of the insurance cards - front/back
- If Youth is riding with a non parent/gardian, a note needs to be attached to the health form listing the adult's name and phone number for your youth's safety
- Adults may bring a copy of the book. There MAYBE copies availabe for purchase, by credit card onsite, day of - subject to availability.
- Pencil and paper
- Your own water bottles. (please have your name on the bottle) (water only)
NOTE:
- Cub Scout Packs and Day Camps are looking for trained Den Chiefs to assist with the program.
- Den Chief is a leadership position for Eagle rank.
