Sully Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills (IOLS)

What: IOLS will provide Boy Scout leaders with the basic outdoor skills and information needed to start and guide a program the right way.  Completion of this course is the required outdoor training for all Scoutmasters and assistant Scoutmasters.  The skills taught are based on the outdoor skills found in The Boy Scout Handbook. The course is split into a classroom portion and an overnight weekend camping portion.

When: September 20-22 for the weekend camping portion (9/20 - 9/22); September 17th for the classroom portion (9/17)

Where: Camp Snyder. (9/20 6pm - 9/22 12pm); Classroom portion (9/17 6-9:30pm) Location TBD.


Prerequisites: Youth Protection Training (YPT); BSA Medical parts A and B.

What to bring: YPT Certificate, BSA iD number (if applicable), Reusable water bottle, mess kit, and full BSA  Field uniform ("Class A").
