Youth Protection Training (YPT2) - Classroom Training

Event Details

Youth Protection Training is required for all BSA registered volunteers, and all registered Scouters (volunteers and professionals), including any adult who will be present at a Scouting activity for 72 total hours or more, must complete the updated Youth Protection Training (YPT2) course by Oct. 1, 2018.

This in person, classroom training will fulfill your Youth Protection Training requirements. Be sure to bring your BSA membership ID card or know your BSA membership ID number so your participation can be recorded. 

 

Effective June 1, 2018, the BSA Youth Protection Training Requirements are: 

Adults accompanying a Scouting unit who are present at the activity for 72 total hours or more must be registered as leaders. This includes completing a criminal background check and Youth Protection training. The 72 hours need not be consecutive.
