AT THE DISTRICT LEVEL - Every Pack may enter one car at each rank level: Lion; Tiger; Wolf; Bear; WEBELOS; Arrow of Light; ONE Show car for the whole pack; ONE: Adult; ONE Cub Scout-aged-Sibling; ONE Den Chief. <<A Maximum TOTAL of TEN Cars per Pack>>
CAR DELIVERY PROCESS - NOTE--DATES AND TIMES: ALL cars must be delivered at one time and in ONE box on Saturday 3/19 or Sunday 3/20 between the hours of 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
The box shall be clearly marked with the Pack Number on the outside and must include the Pack Point of Contact information on a piece of paper inside the box: NAME; PHONE NUMBER; EMAIL ADDRESS.
Every car should be checked by the Pack to ensure it meets the weight and size requirements, as well as the rules specified in the 2022 PWD Builders Guide that may be downloaded from this registration page.

DROP OFF AND PICK UP LOCATION is:
Josh McNally's house
14005 Parkland Drive
Rockville, MD
Please call before you come so that Josh can be expecting you: 301-332-1707.
BROADCAST INFORMATION: The races (Pack & District) will be broadcasted LIVE and will also be recorded so that they may be watched at a later date. Once we know how many pack events and how many cars are entered, then we can publish a schedule of Pack event times and the time of the WOD Derby. We plan to run every car on every lane to determine the time for each car.
ELIGIBILITY: ONLY the fastest car from each pack for LIONS, TIGERS, WOLVES, BEARS, WEBELOS I, WEBELOS AOL, Den Chief, Adult, and Cub Scout aged siblings are eligible to participate. In addition, each pack can send one car to participate in the appearance competition (maximum of 10 cars per Pack). Cars race by RANK Level, not by Boy or Girl Dens.
PROCESS: Winners will be determined by the fastest times at each race level. Since we are running several pack events, there is not enough time available to re-run all of the winners from those races a second time in a purely “District Race”. The District Race is all about SPEED, so all car race times will be recorded and winners determined by fastest times. Pack races will be run, then Packs who have run their own races and delivered cars for the District race will be run. All times will be collected in the race software and winners for the District race determined by the fastest speeds.
AWARDS. District Awards for Fastest Racers for each scout rank – Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, WEBELOS & AOL and fastest three cars overall.
First, Second, & Third place trophies will be awarded for each Rank Level, Show cars, and Fastest Three Cars overall.
Awards for Den Chiefs
Awards for Parents
Awards for Cub Scout Aged Siblings
All cars must comply with the 2022 White Oak District Pinewood Derby Builder’s Guide). Click here to download the Builder's guide
There will also be an opportunity to win the “White Oak District Derby Cup” awarded to the pack with the fastest average times (LION, TIGER, WOLF, BEAR, WEBELOS I, and WEBELOS AOL racers. ONE level may be dropped from participating, but all remaining levels **MUST** be entered and present for a Pack to be eligible.
Den Chief, Parent, and Sibling cars are a separate class of cars and are not eligible for the “Scout Rank” awards nor their times applicable for the District Cup. See White Oak District Pinewood Derby Builder’s Guide for details!
