Bull Run District will hold its 9th Eagle Breakfast on Saturday, May 12th,  8-9:30AM at the City Tavern restaurant (9550 Center Street) in Old Town Manassas. All Eagle Scouts are welcomed to to attend.  Full buffet breakfast will be $30 per person with seating limited to 50 people.  Youth and adult Eagle Scouts are welcomed.  

The speaker is Col. Giles Kyser, USMC (Ret.).


Mr. Kyser is a retired Marine Corps Colonel with more than 28 years uniformed experience.  He was instrumental in forming the first USMC special operations unit and has seen service in both conventional and special operations units with combat tours in Desert Shield and Storm, Bosnia, Kosovo, Africa, and in Iraq as a Task Force Commander.  His non-operational tours included Special Operations Command in Europe; on the staff of the Secretary of the Navy, and Secretary of Defense; Senior Military Advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict; and Chief of Staff for the Deputy-Under Secretary of the Navy.  Following his transition from the military in March 2010, he joined Selex-Galileo as the Vice President for "Special Operations, Irregular Warfare, and Security Assistance Solutions" and three years later became the CEO and President of Selex North America, now a $4.6B international corporation.  He holds Masters of Science Degrees in Military Studies and in National Resource Strategy and attended Executive Education at the Harvard Business School. His impressive single page resume concludes with: “Eagle Scout”.
