Hornaday Award Training!!!!

The National Capital Area Council Hornaday Committee is hosting a Hornaday Adviser Training at the Hylton Training Center at Camp Snyder on Aug 5, 2017.  The course will begin at 8:00 a.m. with check in available at 7:30. The class will last until 6pm.

This course is for any Scouter, Parent, Unit Leader, District or Council Volunteer who has an interest in the Hornaday Awards and fostering a conservation ethic in youth or who is involved in the application and endorsement process of Hornaday Application and Nomination forms. 

Upon completion of this course, participants will understand each award’s requirements, appropriate project scope, and the documentation criteria for the awards.  Participants will be able to assist Hornaday Award Candidates during the planning, execution, and review of their Award Application.  Participants will also be prepared to promote the Hornaday Program through presentations at units, District Round Tables, and training events.

Class size is limited, please join us and help create success stories for our youth!
